Labor Day holiday

Labour Day recognises workers and the role of labour. The 2027 break begins with a Friday substitute holiday and continues through the weekend.

• Friday demand may look different: Office districts and leisure areas may show opposing patterns.
• Confirm staffing individually: The public office calendar should not substitute for checking employment obligations.
• Make booked hours visible: Clinics, salons and appointment-based providers can avoid confusion by publishing their available sessions.
• Visitor enquiries: Share your hours; suggest checking transport and attraction notices directly.
• Check employment guidance: For private-sector days off, substitute holidays, staffing and pay arrangements, follow announcements from the Ministry of Labor.

• 30 days before: Set Friday-to-Sunday opening hours and verify the roster before publishing it.
• 14 days before: Set each date’s special hours in Google Business Profile, including closed days. Publish a Post on the same day with the complete opening schedule.
• 7 days before: Repeat the opening-hours notice and contact customers whose service appointments need adjustment.
• On the holiday or final day: Verify that the posted hours still match actual operations. Check that the special hours will expire after their assigned dates rather than overwrite regular hours.
